Overview
Created in 2000 by Kenneth Rearwin and other members of the Rearwin family to honor their father — a well-known aircraft and engine manufacturer — the R.A. Rearwin Scholarship Fund supports students committed to careers in the aerospace field. Awards are intended for applicants who plan to pursue an aerospace-related degree and who have demonstrated a particular enthusiasm for the practical, hands-on elements of aerospace work.
Who may apply
- Graduating seniors from high schools located in San Diego County
- Students who intend to enroll in a four-year college program
Selection criteria
Applicants will be evaluated on:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated interest in aviation or aerospace careers
- Plans to study math, physics, science, or engineering at the college level
How to apply
Complete the online application and submit it by April 1. Applicants who meet eligibility requirements will be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.
