Overview
The Anchorum Health Foundation Master’s in Nursing Scholarship supports individuals who demonstrate dedication to nursing and healthcare in New Mexico, with an emphasis on serving Northern New Mexico and Native communities. Awards are decided in the spring for students starting coursework in the upcoming fall term.
Eligibility
- Must be a New Mexico resident enrolled in or planning to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
- Academic programs may be delivered within New Mexico or via an out-of-state school’s online program, provided all clinical training takes place in New Mexico.
- Must currently be employed in the healthcare field in Northern New Mexico or at a New Mexico organization or clinic serving Native populations.
- All program prerequisite coursework must be completed prior to receiving the award.
- A minimum of one year of clinical practice or related healthcare experience is required.
- Recipients must agree to use their advanced nursing degree in a Northern New Mexico setting or at any New Mexico-based Native-serving organization, hospital, or clinic for at least two years after finishing the degree.
