Award — Jennifer Casey Alderman Legacy Scholarship
About Jennifer
"Hope is truly the best of things, and Twisted Pink continues to fuel my hope and the hope of all of us living with metastatic breast cancer." — Jennifer Alderman (September 29, 1975 – May 28, 2021)
Jennifer was first treated for Stage II breast cancer in 2009 and experienced a metastatic recurrence (Stage IV) in 2013. Her highest priority throughout her illness was being present for her children—Casey, Connor, and Riley. Jennifer loved watching their athletic events, traveling, and attending concerts. A founding patient advocate for Twisted Pink, she devoted her life to supporting others with metastatic breast cancer and to advancing better outcomes through advocacy and research.
Purpose of the Award
Twisted Pink, together with Jennifer’s family and close friends, established the Jennifer Casey Alderman Legacy Scholarship to honor her memory and to help young adults pursue higher education while continuing her commitment to families affected by metastatic breast cancer.
