Introduction
In honor of Art Porter, Sr. and Art Porter, Jr., the Board of Directors of Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME) created a memorial scholarship to support the organization’s mission. These awards aim to foster excellence in music education by encouraging and financially supporting talented Arkansas high school graduates who plan to pursue music degrees.
Scholarship overview
APME will grant a Memorial Scholarship totaling $3,000 to a graduating Arkansas high school senior. Funds are distributed across four years: $1,500 in the first year and $500 in each of the following three years. To continue receiving subsequent installments, recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) each year.
