Woman of Wonder Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Woman of Wonder
Introduction
These scholarships are intended for women who live in Southwest Washington — including Vancouver, Longview, Camas, or anywhere in Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania County — and who are ready to invest in their education and future. We award support to students enrolled either full time or part time because we recognize that education often coexists with work, family responsibilities, and other life demands.
Who we prioritize
- Single mothers: Woman of Wonder gives preference to women raising children while balancing household and educational responsibilities.
- Women raised by a single parent: If growing up in a single-parent home shaped your resilience and resourcefulness, you are a priority for this award.
- Independently supporting yourself: Preference is given to applicants without a financial safety net who are funding their own path forward.
Eligibility requirements
- Residency: Must reside in Southwest Washington.
- Enrollment: Accepted to an accredited college or university, or enrolled in an accredited professional or technical certificate program; eligible as a full- or part-time student.
- Financial need: Provide a screenshot of your FAFSA® that clearly shows your SAI number.
- Personal statement: A 250–350 word essay describing a turning point or life experience that demonstrates resilience, growth, or determination.
